Spotlight on Greenstone and Arrowbee

Greenstone was once purely ranch land, the country now exceeds 2200 acres with about 309 houses built. The unassuming Gate encloses three lakes, community halls, eleven miles of equestrian trails, and of course beautiful homes. Highway 50 is a convenient 10 minutes away. School Districts are Gold Trail, Mother Lode and El Dorado High School.
Having had the opportunity to roam Greenstone's land as a boy, I can testify of its magnifecence. The trails lead one through dewy grasses and whimsical forests. The lakes provided a place to cool off and even fish. Summers always smelt like evening BBQs when the sun slowly falls behind the foothills.
Arrowbee was also once purely ranch land owned by a Swiss Italian family by the name of Scolari. The Scolari's owned the land into the early 1900s. Arrowbee Lake Estates was not formed until 1960 by a Finneran. The land has now been developed to accomodate lots ranging from 2 to 7 acres. At the heart of Arrowbee Estates is the beautiful lake where the welcoming community gathers for local events and meetings. This link will take you to their home owner's association.
