What about the schools?

It was to my benefit to be educated through the El Dorado Unified School District. Families living from Arrowbee to Greenstone will likely have children attending Sutters Mill primary school, Gold Trail Elementary, and either Ponderosa or El Dorado high school. Fortunetally almost all of these schools meet or exceed state wide API scores. To gather exact information click here.

Most notable to these schools is Gold Trail's fine music program. Every year students are given the opportunity to preform in "Music Mania" (a program conducting musicals). Mr. Cain, the music director has always had the ability to excite the students' imaginations.
The annual Ponderosa vs. El Dorado "Gold Planner" competition features the areas two rival football teams combating for a trophy steeped in tradition. This is a must attend event for locals!
